Granny Squares! Five done and more two on the run...

I knew I would get an addiction. These granny squares are wonderful. Easy, fast and so beautiful.

Pieces are cut and ready to sew.

The five granny squares I've finished so far.

This will be a lovely warm folk quilt, it's looking really great so far, I can't wait to see the finished work of art. I'm busy making felt animal cell phone covers for my kids Tracfone LG800G cell phones as I don't want their touch screens to be damaged as I paid $50 ea. for them.
I've been putting padding in between the felt so I'm using double layers of felt. I've already made an owl and I didn't use a sewing machine I just did blanket stitching around the edges of the felt. This is such a fun project that even your kids can do with you in a weekend. I might add that I'm only paying $5.99 for 40 min./month for my girls cell phone time on the family value plan, it's the cheapest deal in the U.S. I've come across.

They look fantastic and great project to use smaller pieces of fabric. Have fun and keep going, before long you have a quilt top !

These blocks are looking gorgeous. I am having a bit of a sewing machine finishing off weekend so I might be able to start farmers wife during the week (fingers crossed)
