FNSI- dresden and granny squares

Another great sewing night. I finished my dresden plates for my "Penelope's Garden" quilt, I didn't sew the centers for I still don't know wether to hand stitch them or you use a blanket stitch from my sewing machine.

Afterwards I didn't resist and made two more granny squares
( didn't I mention before they were quite addictive!!!)

I like the pink and blue but

This one is my favorite, love the bright colors and the flower fabric.

*love* the Dresden plate blocks! Is this your own pattern or is it available elsewhere?

I Googled "Penelope's Garden" but only found a block of the month that didn't look like it included your Dresden plate blocks.

I love your dresden blocks, would hand applique the centres myself. Your granny squares look fantastic.

Love these Dresdens - will be curious to see whether you use a machine blanket stitch (which I love!) or decide to sew them by hand. I have the same dilemma...

Those fabrics in the dresden plates are just gorgeous. If it were me I would hand applique them into place. Could also see those granny squares being addictive too although I do not have the stash to do scrappy but I could have fun aquiring one LOL

Lovely dresdens. I always find machine blanket stitching around very curvy seams difficult and it seems quicker, and less stressful, to hand stitch.
I love the bright flowery block too!
Cheers,
Robyn
