It's my birthday today

Today It's my birthday. I'm officially 47 years old. To commemorate I offered myself a nice framed purse. I made it in  my favorite colors, yellow and blue. I used some Summer breeze II. I love my new purse. It's huge and I can get all my stuff inside.

WIP - Small Stuff only...

Hi, it's that day of the week again and here I am to share my work in progress with all of you.
I'm enjoying my Summer vacations so I have been to the beach with Dh and my sewing has been put into second place. Nevertheless I still manage to escape to my sewing room no and then and make some little things that are quite easy and quick to make. Besides it's been too hot ( about 30 degrees) to do any quilting, my tops have to wait until the Fall in order to be quilted.

Here's what I've been up to...
A big metal framed purse for my daughter, she loves purses!!!

This one is huge.

A pretty little pouch, of course my daughter asked me to make her a miniature one
Here they are...Mother and daughter!!!LOL

That is all I have to show you but link up with the lovely Lee at Freshly Pieced and you can enjoy many wonderful works in progress.
 Have a nice week,
Hugs,
TERESA

FNSI - July Report

It wasn't a very busy Friday night, I've only made a couple of sewing accessories,
Two scissor holders, each of them holds three scissors. A big ,a medium and a small one.

A wonderful pincushion. I used a free pattern from Kaaren at The Painted Quilt, she is a great designer and often shares her patterns on her blog.

To finish the sewing night I made two little bags

May I present the Owlie Family

My big projects have been put aside for a while. No, it's not  that I don't like them anymore but I needed to make some gifts and other small projects for an event I'm going to enter by the end of the month. I'm going to show some of my work to other crafty people. I can't wait.

I present my newest softie family, The Owlies! They are stuffed with lavender and we can put them in drawers or just on top of our furniture. They are really cute and smell wonderfully

I got my birdie pouch finished today, it's great to put our sewing stuff or all the other things women tend to carry everywhere.

Afterwards there was still time to make two sewing kits. They are very easy to make
The inside has eight little pockets to put the spools in
 This is the outside

The sewing bag closes with a string with to glass beads.
We can  even through in a little pincushion if we want to

What I've been working on...

Summer has arrived and the days are getting hotter. It's impossible to do free motion quilting or any other kind of quilting, so this week I've only made some simple small stuff.

                                  Tissue holders

Scrappy little hearts stuffed with lavender, great to use on our clothes' drawers and a zippered purse that is is yet on the project stage

I've done the piecing and the applique, hopefully I'll finish it during this week
