Blogger's Block of the Month #1

Canton Village Quilt works is hosting a free BOM dedicated mainly to bloggers, but you can join even if you don't have a blog.
Every 25th of the month a different designer will post a new block. This months block was designed by
Sherry McConnell at A Quilting Life. This is the block I've made. My blocks are going to be red, cream with a hint of blue.

Tuesday Treasures

These two little items were given to me by my beloved grandmother. She died from cancer almost 25 years ago but I still miss her very, very much.

She knew I loved old objects and she gave these to me. It's an old little mirror with golden and blue beads in the back and a pair of scissors with silver handles. I just love those little things. They're a real treasure to me!!!

FWSQA - Back in business

As you know my first Farmer's wife blocks were the wrong size. Now that I have cut all the right size templates I started all over again. I hope to catch up in a few weeks time. So far I've managed to do five blocks:
 block #1 - Attic Windows
Block #2 - Autumn Tints
Block #4 - Basket Weave
Block #6 - Big Dipper
Block # 14 - Butterfly at the Crossroads

I'm planning to do some more blocks this week-end for I'm far behind. Most of you have already done 20 or more. But the most important is to stand up tall and never give up.
My blogiversary giveaway  ends tomorrow so, if you haven't entered it before just do it  HERE.
